Various Sites – Grid-tied Microgrid Systems

Project Description – Summit has designed multiple on-site grid-tied Microgrid systems of up to 5 to 40 Megawatts.  In aggregate, Summit has designed more than 100MW of these systems in recent years.  These systems provide a very high level of power resiliency, at an unbelievably reduced cost by subsidizing the initial equipment cost and maintenance by selling power to the grid when power prices are high.  In the right electricity markets, this can often subsidize 80% to 90% of the equipment cost, and eliminate all maintenance cost for the owner.

All contractual agreements, operation, maintenance, fuel contracts and other aspects of the system are handled via a 3rd party provider, providing a highly reliable power source for the owner with no maintenance or other responsibilities.

These systems work great for any site that needs highly reliable power.
