Summit Consultants President Chad Leveritt, CEO Steve Ruse and Engineer & Associate Emily Boone recently returned from an intensive week in Taiwan visiting some of the world’s most advanced electronics and semiconductor manufacturing operations — including NVIDIA, Wistron, KYEC, WNC, Inventec, LITEON and others.

The itinerary took our team inside operating cleanrooms, onto active cleanroom construction sites, and through Taiwan’s Zhubei AI park, where we toured state-of-the-art AI and electronics manufacturing facilities alongside our clients. We had the opportunity to tour cleanrooms under construction as well as operating cleanrooms to learn more about our clients methods, preferences and priorities. Studying global manufacturing and construction techniques firsthand gives Summit invaluable insight on how clients are using their space, what their priorities are and what some constraints will be in the USA. In the USA, material costs, labor costs, contracting methods, state and local government regulations and other constraints are significantly different than overseas. Summit’s understanding of both sides allows us to communicate very effectively how a client can best accomplish their aggressive schedules and budgets. Understanding how the world’s most sophisticated manufacturers approach process utilities, environmental control, power distribution, and phased buildout is invaluable when providing guidance on how to construct buildings serving the same function in the USA.
