Scott West is a mechanical engineer with Summit Consultants in Fort Worth, TX. Scott is an energy efficiency specialist, design lead and project manager. Scott has 18 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry and he spent two of those years working abroad in the UK. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas. Scott has experience with a wide variety of building types, HVAC and renewable energy systems with an emphasis on high performance design and systems commissioning. Scott is active with ASHRAE at the local and society level. Current and past activities include participation on standards development committees for 189.1, 205, 209 and 231P as well as Guideline 14. Scott is past president of the Fort Worth ASHRAE chapter and serves on technical committee (TC) 7.5 – Smart Building Systems and TC 7.6 – Building Energy Performance.
