Steve thrives on the challenges presented by larger, more complex projects. His typical mode of operation on a project is to learn the owner‘s constraints, requirements and goals, so that the Summit team can make the best possible decisions on the owner’s behalf. His view is that "we are the experts an owner hires to make the decision they would make if they had our expertise". One of his most satisfying accomplishments on a project is to make great decisions that deliver systems better than the owner hoped for, while doing so in an innovative way that saves significant cost and maintenance. His instruction to Summit’s team is frequently if we do our jobs correctly we should save the owner many multiples of our own design fees through proper, innovative and thorough design.
When he is not at work, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife Brittany and four daughters, Grace, Faith, Joy and Liberty. His greatest joy in life is being a "Girl Dad".
